Dead Space - my short and sweet review 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago

I've been playing the PS3 version of Dead Space (casually) since it came out. I had it pre-ordered so that I could get the "exclusive to GameStop pre-orders" Scorpion Rig - which you can now purchase on the PlayStation Store it seems.
This is an over-the-shoulder _style_ (think RE 4) Survival-Horror. It reminds me of a cross between Doom 3, Resident Evil 4, BioShock, and Alien.
You play as C.E.C. space engineer Issac Clark on a mission to see what's going one with the planet-cracking ship the USG Ishimura. You've also received a mysterious video from your ex-girlfriend Nicole, who happens to be on the Ishimura. Pretty much as soon as you get there, all hell breaks loose. You'll find yourself basically alone, in a dark ship with strange writing on the walls, hearing whispers, fighting against an enemy that you have to dismember in order to kill. What the hell is going on? Where is Nicole? Can you escape the ship? http://www.oohya.net/Videos/videodirect_link_/dead-space-hd-trailer.html" target="_blank">Dead Space HD Trailer
The atmosphere is eeringly beautiful and breathtaking (to weird people like myself - lol). As Team Hotness put in their walkthrough, the game is "a visual masterpiece." The sound is done wonderfully. The decompressed areas are haunting and the Zero-G areas are awesome! The Menu looks futuristic and very well-done.
I can honestly say that of all the survival-horror's I've played, this one drags me into the game. If I was really there, I'd probably be freaked out of my mind. And I'd stock up on lots and lots of ammo and weapons. lol
Also, this game has totally ruined Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for me. lol
