I have not talked with SF or PXF today so i'm not 100% postive but they were contemplating in reverting back to the old version until the bugs are worked out about the mic issues.
The chatrooms were probally taken offline again to facilitate the reverting of the previous chat version.

Looks like the chat is back up but only temporarly while changes are made...only time will tell. It looks like its in a "test" phase.
