Chat and server upgrade 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Over the next few days the site will be migrated over to a new server and the bugs in chat should be getting worked on. Because of this the site and or chat may experience some brief downtime.

Hopefully the server migration goes smoothly and will not cause much down time. Once on the new server we're told that the site should experience a 10 times increase in performance and should eliminate the annoying constant reboots we've experienced lately.

The bugs in chat that will be addressed are the text runoff issue causing text to get hidden behind the user list, the issue when selecting the option to have private messages appear in a new window, and the room list loading issue. Unfortunately we have to rely on the programmers to fix these issues so it's out of my hands directly. I've been hounding them about some of these issues for some time now so hopefully we can finally get them resolved.

We have moved to the new server however it will take a few hours for the change to propogate around the internet so it may result in some people being on the new server and some people being on the old one until the propogation is complete.

Even though the site is up and running on the new server we are still working on getting chat running. Hopefully it will be running soon but until then chat will not connect.

I know it's frustrating not being able to get into chat right away but once the move is complete things will run much more smoothly and will solve the constant rebooting that we've experience the last couple of months.
